Maisonneuve College (Quebec)

Nestled in the heart of Collège de Maisonneuve in Montreal, a remarkable space transforms the student and community experience. Under a vast glass roof, a lush garden offers a green sanctuary, creating an exceptional living space. This garden, previously underused, benefited from a careful renovation orchestrated by the creative agency Taktik Design, known for its innovative and respectful approach to spaces.

In this urban oasis, in partnership with Nüspace, Cadrea counter stools by TOOU Design have been integrated, offering comfort and elegance for students and visitors alike. The redevelopment was guided by the desire to maximize the usability, functionality and organization of the space, making it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The space now serves not only as a place to study and relax during the week, but also as a setting for various events in the evenings and weekends.

The project, initially experimental, evolved through the engagement of students, faculty and other key stakeholders, embodying the principles of biophilia dear to Taktik Design. This approach highlights the importance of connecting to nature in learning environments and inspires the creation of future green spaces within other institutions.
